Oil solvent products are very much
on the wane. In the majority most companies now use water
based products. The so called 'micro emulsions' for timber
treatment are insecticide/fungicide encapsulated in a
minute globule of solvent suspended in water. The evaporation
is therefore extremely small and is therefore non hazardous
to health and is non flammable.
We
were one of the first companies to use these products
in the UK and we found that as well as the safety aspect
they can be touch dry within a few hours and re-entry
allowed to the property within eight hours.
Sovaq has been recently introduced by Sovereign which
has even less toxicity.
